Bloodywood - Gaddaar

It still strikes me how politically self centered I am when I read how the US is only a baby in the democratic politically-corrupt market, and the struggles in places I've yet to visit. I don't think this quite belongs in CRaP: its theme is general broken promises in democracy, but its a hard resonance with those frusterated with politics from any viewpoint. If I'm wrong I'll move it.

Love it! Chris Thile is a long time favorite of mine. Knowing your appreciation for vocal excellence ... check this out. :geek:

I would like to challenge people to share less-known Holiday songs! I need at least one for Chanukah. To kick things off:

The Pogues - Fairytale of New York

And this is just so I can claim this first ;P

Run DMC - Christmas in Hollis

Yo-Yo Ma & Alison Kraus - The Wexford Carol

Okay ... this has some otherworldly confluence for me. I love Tool and think their music is edgy-crazy. Our oldest and his wife were psych profs+ at KU for almost two decades (yup ... we're that old) and we spent a lot of time hanging with them on campus. What I didn't know is that Tool's drummer is a KU alum. Fun stuff.

Back to some very odd Christmas songs.

Chris de Burgh - A Spaceman Came Travelling

And Christmas depressing as only Waits can do.
Tom Waits - Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis

EDIT: One for Kegger,
Reverend Horton Heat - We Three Kings

Just the kind of thing I needed today. Reminds me of the Christone "Kingfish" Ingram at 13.

I held off for a long time posting this. It has almost no qualities I would point out as a GOOD song, but I still can't stop listening to it.

VOLA - Black Claws
