I found some beer in the basement and tossed it in the freezer to get cold (about 45 minutes ago). I just finished the first one and realized when I was going to get another that the best by date was 06/2010. Mmmm 5 year old basement beer. I hope I don't start peeing from my butt... ​

What's the coolest job you've ever had? What's the worst? (And why?)

Coolest Job: United States Marine - Why? Who else pays you to drink beer, teaches you to kill with your bare hands, and asks you to blow shit up?

Worst Job: United States Marine - Why? You are a Marine 24/7, and when some dumbass private messes up, you lose your liberty too. Also the pay and benefits are kinda crap depending on what field you are in. ​

Name three video games you'll replay no matter how old they get. (And why?)

Chronotrigger, Earthbound, Skyrim

Chronotrigger and Earthbound were my two favorite turn based RPGs from the age of the Super Nintendo. I loved the music in those games, espeically the earth stone music from Earthbound. Chronotrigger was just plain fun, jumping all over time, driving royalty crazy.

I've probably got about 160 hours logged in Skyrim. Everytime a new DLC came out, I had to just start over and play through the whole thing again. Who wants to play always a max level. What if the content has multiple choices? ​

Tell us about the most annoying person you've ever met, and why he/she annoyed you.

Mr. One Up. He has a real name, but no sense blowing his cover. You'll know him when you see him. He'll have done everything better than you, or his "bro" has done it better than you. As long as the story is better than yours, it's cool..."bro" ​

I used to have a Mazda RX-8, R3 package, until my father in law smashed it into a deer while I was working overseas. The cool part was, I didn't get mad, I just wanted to make sure everyone was ok. I'll post you some pics of my busted ride. ​

Why choose the Unrepentant Gaming Community over just a regular gaming guild?

I cracked up when I saw the guild advert in Looking for Guild. I figured if you can be funny in 200 or less characters, imagine the fun we'll have when we can actually interact in guild chat. ​

I'm married and have a 17 month old daughter that doesn't let me get online until about 9PM Pacific or later. Are there any other "late night" players?

I haven't played Neverwinter in probably a year, but I started thinking of how fun it was, and how fun it could be, now that I have a faster than 128K connection that's not located in the Middle East. I just want to have fun, help people if I can, and hope I can help some others, or at least make them laugh in the process. Anyone need help from a very rusty 60 DC?

Anyone like to talk cars? I like mostly japanese cars and european cars. I don't care for muscle cars. What good is 4-700 horse power if you can only use it in a straight line? ​

We don't take a lot of things serious around here, but if its one thing its the application process. It is here so that both sides can see who they are and find out if we are a good fit for each other or not, and if Unrepentant is the right place four you.

First off as people always don't seem to understand, Unrepentant is NOT a Neverwinter ( STO, SWTOR, GW2 ... etc.)- guild. We are a community of people that like to hang out with each other in all sorts of games,on the forum,some even real life. We choose persons to join our community very picky because once you are in you are in forever and in every game the community plays. As others don't play the game you are applying in they need a chance to interact with you and you need a chance to impress them,that's why not only ingame presence counts,but also forum activity.
We are laid back and you can mostly do what you want once you are in but for the application process we want you to be active and invest time and "work" in it. If you wont/can't do that, let us know.
Also,again it is YOUR job to make an impression on us, so don't expect officers/members to drag you trough this. If you app stalls be active,ask questions,come up with something.Just let the conversation keep going.

You'll notice people with different colored names. Orange names are officers in Neverwinter. The other colors represent officers in other Branch games. While all members give impact on whether or not they think we're a good match, the officers will vote on your application. In your title, the (0/0/0) is your votes. The first two numbers are Yes votes. You need 4 to be a member. The last number is No votes. Three No's and your application is rejected.

A good way to get an starting idea about how this works and whats ahead of you is to take a look at the accepted and rejected applications, some are funny to read, some are just.. well, better get some popcorn or a bucket, depends on the application. Another good read is the FAQ and the Guild Rules.

When you are ingame hop into our channel /uey (type channel_join uey) and ask for an guild invite. We also have mumble for voice chat, and although its not mandatory at all it helps to get to know you.Details should be in the FAQ, password you get by tell or pm when you ask for it.

Also I will remind you to stay active here in you application, on the forums, thirsty troll tavern is a great place for that, and of course ingame!

Yeah...about Thirsty Troll...I must have been thirsty last night. I hopped back on Neverwinter after submitting my app, and sent a tell to one of the officer's online to notify them of such, (already 0230 here) and said I was going to bed. At 0600 I hadn't quite made it to page 60 on the funny pics thread and really had to go to bed. My 17 month daughter woke me up at 0830...

Any of our members can invite, so just get in the /Uey channel and let people know you're an applicant. When you get your invite, make sure to put your forum name in your member note so we can keep track of you.

Also, the community chaps and ballgags are on the left as you enter the locker room. If you didn't bring your own, I'd go ahead and take some headgear to. Also, avoid the room with the floor to ceiling glass...and no, the van doesn't have any candy in it.

If you can remember that, the rest is cream cheese.

So, I just thought of another dumbest/funniest moments. When I was stationed in Okinawa with the 4th Marines, I went out to the little town outside of base called Henoko. There was a bar there that I frequented nearly every day while I was stationed there called Ashibina. Since George (the owner, an Okinawan, go figure) and I were pretty tight from me showing up so often and single handedly supporting his mortgage, he'd pretty much let me get as plowed as I wanted since I never caused any trouble. Well, I got time traveling drunk one night and waltzed back on base. I'm really supprised the gate guards let me through and didn't just hold me for the Duty to pick me up. I managed to make it down the hill to the middle of base when I decided I didn't like my pants and shirt any more, or my shoes. I took them off and folded them as neat as you please and set them on one of the sewer covers in the middle of the road. I proceeded to take a nap in the grass near the road. I woke up just about the time the Duty was making his rounds, I stood up, and ran back to the barracks in nothing but my undies, completely forgetting about my pants and shirt and shoes. It was pretty easy for them to track me down after that. I got to go see the First Sergeant in the morning and explain myself, still emitting and filling his office with the sickly sweet fumes of intoxication. The good news: I just got back from a tour in Afghanistan, and the "incident" happened on base, not outside to cause an "international incident." The bad news: I got to tell my story to the entire Headquarters Company at Friday formation, in front of the Company Commander, my subordinates, and peers.

Second- Stuff to do for fun: I've been getting into RC Helicopters and cars over the last few years. I started messing with them about 3 years ago. I've got a Blade 450X, a Align Trex 250DFC, Blade MSRx, Blade MCPx, and a rally car. I also use a program called Phoenix RC to practice with so I don't smash up the birds. The last time I got to play with my stuff was about 4 months ago. It's all in storage in Pennsylvania where I'm originally from. I can't wait to go back and pick up my car and bring a few of them with me to Canada to play with this summer.

Its PVP and lets say we just jumped some poor fool and all 5 of us beat him to a pulp while he was out picking daisies in the pvp zone, What do you do?

A) Apologize and let him know there a safer spot behind this building
B) Wait untill he goes to that building and gank him again
C) Answer back and get into a argument in Zone so every one can see what a crybaby he is?
D) Ignore him/her
F) Say nothing and jump him again next time you see them bent over sniffing another flower

@Yak - I liked comics when I was younger, picked up a "starter collection" of about 30 different Marvel comics. I read through all of them several times, but I was broke, so my new hobby ended with my lack of funds. Now that I'm an adult, I tend to read more lengthy material like fantasy novels and Barrens chat. The Chuck Norris jokes never get old, and it's amusing to see what sort of nonsense the kiddies will ramble on about. It's kind of like going to the zoo to watch the monkeys play in their own feces.

That being said, I do like anime, but I tend to rely on fansubs instead of the commercialized versions. I just prefer the Japanese voice acting over the English. Maybe it's because I lived in Okinawa for 2 years, or maybe it's because the English voice acting sounds like a troupe of half stoned toolbags.

Anime/Comics I like: Bleach (love that one), any Gundam, Mai Hime, XKCD, Cyanide and Happiness, Penny Arcade, The Oatmeal

If you could get rid of one state in the U.S., which would it be and why? I don't think I'd get rid of any states, per se. I think I'd get rid of the National Capital Region, so northern Virginia, western Delaware. I lived there for 2 years, and hated every minute of it. The contractors, the GS civilians, all the ones I had the opportunity of meeting were very snotty. Everyone drove like they were very entitled. I even went to defend myself in traffic court while I was there and one of the others there threw around their job title like it meant more than the paper I wiped my ass with in regards to their guilt or innocence.

If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us? Hmm, if I was cooking? I'd make us some big thick burgers on with all the fixins. BBQ, jalapeno, grilled onions and mushrooms, swiss, american, cheddar, lettuce, tomato. The coolers would be well stocked with Yeungling bottles. I find the cans get warm too fast when grilling, unless you have a can coolie. If my wife was making us dinner? It would probably be a slow cooked beef roast with garlic, onion, and carrots, mashed taters, gravy, yorkshire puddings, cauliflower, broccoli, and brussel sprouts with butter and parmesean. I like my yorkshires with a bit of jelly on them, but my wife only eats them with gravy.

The forum name is just kind of like my online handle for about the last 13 years or so. Most of my stuff is psuomega or psu_omega for forums and such. The PSU is for Penn State University where I got my degree in Information Sciences and Technology and the omega is my favorite Greek letter. I like that it symbolizes the end and the looks of the letter itself.

I love that whenever we talk, we don't even have to talk sometimes. In certain situations you can just look at each other and know what the other is thinking and bust up laughing. What I don't like? He's a huge rule follower, to the letter. I like to do things that are in the envelope, but might be pushing the boundries a bit. If I don't agree with a rule because I can't see a valid reason for it being place, I'm quite likely to ignore it. The BFF, not so much. He'd follow it, complain about how dumb it was, and still follow it to the letter, and push you to do the same.

I wish there were a law that said... Sodomy used to be bad, when we were all a bunch of Quakers, but now that we are liberated, that old law that's in the book about BJ's are bad mmkay, and all our bedroom posters with missionary4lyfe, yeah, that's dumb. I solemnly decree on this day that all shall have equality in current and future carnal endeavors and pursue any orifice that ye desire.

If that one has already been repealed in all the states, provinces, or territories, then let's work on turn signal enforcement. In Virginia, I'm pretty sure those things were like a million dollar dealer installed option, they weren't standard on every vehicle. In Ohio, I always felt like, "Oh, I see what you did there. You were turning..if only there was some way that you could have signaled your intention...."

Done. I picked the GT-R badge w/ Twilight Sparkle because I would love to own a Nissan GT-R. I also can really get behind the "Brony" message of "Friendship is Magic" There was a documentary called Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony that anyone that wants to hate on Bronies should definately check out. I don't follow the show myself, but if it comes on Treehouse when my daughter is watching, I won't turn it off. I think that the empowerment that it's giving some of these young adults and teens is remarkable. That's not to say that 13 weeks of Marine Corps boot camp won't give you the same thing, but if MLP is the easy route to self confidence and empowerment, then it's certainly proven itself to be pretty valid.
