Are you over 18?
Yes

What are some games you plan on playing with us?
Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO)

What is the character or account name you’re joining that game with? Amritalle

Do you have friends or family in the Unrepentant community?
No

Tell us the story of one of the dumbest, funniest or most embarrassing things you've done as an adult.
Probably when I dressed up as a woman (I'm gender fluid) and hung out with my fiancée and one of our friends. We went to a sports bar/restaurant and a group of guys tried hitting on me. They were EXTREMELY surprised when they heard my normal voice.

What's the coolest job you've ever had? What's the worst? (And why?)
Coolest was probably working as Heat Tracer in construction. I learned a good bit about electrical and water systems and it was fun. Worst was working as a Security Officer at my local hospital. We got paid really low wages and we dealt with Psychiatric patients and drug addicts every day. It was very stressful.

Name three video games you'll replay no matter how old they get. (And why?)
KOTOR I and II, because I'm a massive star wars fan and those were pretty much my first RPGs that had the mechanics of DnD
DDO, for nostalgia and because I've been here since update 1 and it hooked me
Fall Out, my fiancée recently got me playing them for the first time and I can already see myself going back and playing them over and over.

Tell us about the most annoying person you've ever met, and why he/she annoyed you.
A patient at the hospital I used to work at. They were a frequent patient in the short-term psychiatric ward in the ER, and was always high on Meth. On top of that they were very rude and demanding and just got on everyone's nerves extremely quickly. I usually try to be understanding on people with mental health or drug related problems, but I'm of the opinion that neither of those things gives you the right to be an entitled dick.

Tell us something cool about yourself that has nothing to do with gaming. (Free hint: responding to your application thread with photo or video supporting evidence is a plus!)
I'm currently learning how to be a Network Administrator via the army and am currently finishing up the CCNA 2 course, with plans to take the CCNA exam in a month or so.

Why choose the Unrepentant Gaming Community over just a regular gaming guild?
I've played with a few members of Unrepentant in DDO a while back and they were always fun and chill people to play with. I'm also just coming back from a semi-forced break and needed a new guild to join and new people to play with.

BONUS: Ask us some questions! We're sure you've got some.

You enter a cave before starting an adventure. A wise old man tells you "It's dangerous to go alone. Take this." What does he hand you and why?
A magic staff, because I look like someone that would spend hours pouring over old magical tomes.

Nice to see the app and hope we can run some stuff together - you got the provisional guild invite off me.

I wont run through how this procedure works other than to say keep active and introduce yourself in game as a newbie applicant and one of us should be able to chat (interview? sort of, not really). Do have a look through the guild rules, i think you may already have done so.

Sounds like you like sci fi and fantasy, I think there are more excellent sci fi movies but more excellent fantasy books. What do you think?

I agree. I've managed to find several, if not hundreds of good-amazing fantasy books. Sci-Fi books on the other hand, I've always struggled to find good ones. I think the best I've found was probably Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. The Halo novels are pretty good too, at least The Fall of Reach and the Forerunner trilogy that is.

Which Fallouts have you played?

Sci-fi-wise, there's a ton of good ones out there: Children of Time, Neuromancer, Snow Crash, The Bobiverse series, Altered Carbon (the first is much different from the rest and I liked it a lot better than the show they based on it), the Spiral Wars series, Ringworld, Dune, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy... I could go on for a bit here.

So far i've only played a bit of New Vegas, my fiancee wants me to play Fall Out 3 once i finish that though

Huh, i've only heard of Dune, Children of Time, and Hitchiker's from that list. I haven't read either of them either (not enough time recently), i'll have to give them a try.

New Vegas is the best of the non-isometrics. You may end up disappointed in 3 and 4 unfortunately. The storytelling isn't on par imo.

Ran into Amritalle online tonight and got to talk a bit with them! Hopefully you manage to sneak that Butchers Path run back into soon here before you get too much farther. You mentioned on here that you took a forced break for a while, so what was the last big thing that came out in ddo before you took that break?

Hello and welcome to the process. Youre in the Army?? Awesome, I have a son stationed in Tampa. So working in the wacko ward I assume you have a zombie apocalypse plan? Good Luck..I play DDO some but I dont remember if you add friends by toon or account name.

I'm not too sure, my memory is kinda crap at the best of times, but i remember farming for Feywild stuff, and i think the new madness stuff in the Lordsmarch Plaza had just come out because i was farming for some stuff from there as well. I remember there was talk of the ED rework, but i can't remember if it had come out yet by the time i had to take a break due to internet/housing problems. I'm guessing it had since when i logged onto my EK my EDs were already all set up in the new system, so i think that was the biggest thing that came out before i stopped playing?

Youre in the Army??
Yep, I really only joined for the college money (which I haven't even used yet >.>) so I'm only in the reserves. I drill down at Fort Gordon, GA. However I got lucky because someone in my unit couldn't go to training to reclass to a 25B (Information Technology Specialist, aka: a network admin) because of some family thing popping up, and i wanted to go instead. So, I'm getting training in the field I was studying in school, and instead of paying for it I'm getting paid to learn this stuff. ;) The downside is that it's about two, two and half, months long and it's been tough on my fiancée back home while I've been gone.

LMAO, I do have one, but not because of working in the psych ward (I'd be more worried about ICU or the ER instead of the Psych Ward for zombies anyways :p ). No, I grew up in Frederick, MD. Near Fort Detrick, where the army had started moving all their chemical and biological agent labs/testing. In high school my friends and I would always say "If a zombie outbreak starts, it's all Fort Detrick's fault".

I play DDO some but I dont remember if you add friends by toon or account name.
It's by toon name. It would be a lot easier on us players if it was account based, but i imagine that could be a bit of a hassle to code and change now. Especially with the, what I assume is spaghetti-like, coding that's currently running the game. XD

P.S. Sorry for the long reply, things got a bit busy with the new unit of instruction here so I couldn't check it as often as I would have otherwise.

thank you! We're getting towards the end of the course so the classroom instruction and technical instruction is going down, but we're about to start getting into my hands-on instruction. We'll see how much time that takes up, but I'm hoping to still be able to play for at least an hour every day.

Meh, Gordon's still Gordon. XD

Yeah, we've actually been working on windows 10, windows 10 server 2016, and Exchange Server 2016 recently. We're finally getting into the last few bits of instruction. We should be finished in about a week and then I'll finally be heading back home and will be able to see my fiancée face-to-face again.

I got a few networking related certs out of my security degree program. I learned enough about infosec to have no interest in actually working in infosec lol. So I'm a 25 year veteran of IT working in devops for a large media conglom that isn't fox. >< Most of my networking experience was pretty fun though, but you're on call 24/7, so I avoided it as a primary profession. I can, however, do subnet math really quickly from my brain pan thing. Can you? :)

Wait.. so you're a member and not a member... this is some crazy confusing stuff. If your already a member then no need to re-apply. Once a Uey, always a Uey.

Edit: went back a looked at your previous app. You applied with character name Ameitalle as well. So yeah, looks like your already one of us. Welcome back

Sorry, this is also me apparently. I didn't even know I had another account on this forum o_O
Ok, so this is hilarious.
Feel free to just continue using the Eleathan account since it should already have permissions, and welcome back.
